India is the largest democracy of the world. In this democracy, every citizen of India who is above 18 years old has the right to vote in the National and Local Elections. However, in order to do that the citizen must have the Voter ID card that has to be obtained from the Election Commission of India. The process of applying Voter ID card is very simple and feasible now as the Election Commission has introduced easy online and offline process. The applicant has to visit the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, ecotelengana.nic.in to register online and activate.
Once the activation and the registration process is done, the applicant has to fill the form for fresh application. The Form No 6 has to be filled by the applicant with due care. It is important to fill the details with care as the wrong information can lead to cancellation of the application.
The information should be backed by the proper documentations as well. The Voter ID card registration needs the proof of birth, proof of identity and proof of address. The Aadhar Card can be used to get the registration. However, there are many supporting documents that are accepted. The list is available on the website.
Once the process is over the application must be submitted. A reference number is generated for the process. The same number is also sent to the registered email id. The number can be used to check the Status of the application online.
Election Commission takes some time around a month to verify the details and generate the voter ID. Once generated, the Voter ID card is sent to the registered address via post to the applicant.
The applicant must look out for the nearest Electoral Office in the area. He or She must pay visit personally.
The applicant has to then fill the form for the fresh application of Voter ID. The Form No 6 should be filled in order to apply. The details provided must be correct. Any deviation of the information may reject the application.
